Our Classic Retreats offer singles and families of all backgrounds and levels of Jewish education a spiritually uplifting, intellectually stimulating, fun Shabbat. Held in hotels and resorts across the United States, the weekend is filled with activities and study sessions geared to all ages.
Adults explore the foundations of Jewish philosophy or examine Judaism’s insights into life, relationships, world history and the soul in over 35 classes and workshops.
Teens ages 13 to 16 learn to address the important issues they’re facing today in a riveting teen program.
Youngsters discover the beauty of Shabbat, the festivals and Israel through art, music, drama and sport. Babysitting is provided for infants.
There is plenty of time throughout the weekend to make new friends over the delicious Shabbat meals, at breaks in the 24-hour tearoom, during study sessions and activities, or at the Saturday night gala bash.
Gateways2Go Continuing Education
Gateways’ post-retreat programs help participants stay connected and engaged. These include community lectures and Shabbat programs throughout the United States, particularly in the tristate area, held in partnership with many educational organizations.
Our presenters lead office and home study groups, and act as scholars-in-residence in the U.S. and abroad. Gateways coordinates ongoing individual learning sessions in person or by phone, and matches alumni with families for Shabbat meals in communities across America.
